Bodyvox, a Portland-based dance company, came to Swift for a redesign. Their previous site, see below, had many competing messages, unclear hierarchy, and confusing navigation. There was no standardization for how to promote classes and performances. We focused on creating a minimal, clean, and intuitive site that would be easy for staff to update.
Modular tiles were set up with clearly defined places for images, headlines, CTA buttons, etc. This creates a better experience for the user that is easier to scan. It is much easier for the client to maintain on the backend CMS. These modular tiles plug and play into different areas of the site and were used for bios, classes, and performances. These proved to be a huge win for cleaning up the site and working well in a responsive layout.
This heavy lifting calendar had to accommodate classes, performances, and other events while looking great on tablet and mobile. It was very challenging, but also very rewarding to come up with a solution that is clean and easy to read.
